India to Impose AD Duty on Aluminium Foil Imports

India’s Directorate General of Trade Remedies has recommended imposing anti-dumping duty on imports of aluminium foils from China, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia on 18 June 2021 to offset the injury to domestic industry from cheaper imports. DGTR has recommended the finance ministry to impose anti-dumping duty between USD 93.53-976.99 per tonne on foil.

Hindalco Industries Ltd, Raviraj Foils Ltd and Jindal India Ltd had filed a complaint about the dumping of aluminium foil of 80 microns and below in 2019-20
