EU steel mills' production capacity continues to be full, and there is no pressure to cut prices. In addition, the price of hot-rolled coils (HRC) in Europe has risen again in the past week as supply shortages remained.
However, local buyers said that they are only willing to purchase at higher prices with the sooner delivery, and only for the required quantity, which didn't mean that the market trend continued to rise.
According to statistics, the weekly imported price increase of HRC in northern European mills was about EUR30/ton, and the weekly price increase of southern European mills is about EUR20/ton.
