From the fourth quarter of 2020 to the first quarter of 2021, since the pandemic situation went better in Europe, stainless steel demand started to recover and the purchase price rose as well thanks to the high nickel price.
However, due to large purchase orders made during the mentioned period, as well as the influence caused by the import quotas, buyers from the European market decided to slow down their stainless steel inquiries after February.
Last week, stainless steel traders found that European inquiries began to reemerge in the market, although the bid price dropped to a lower level.
