Japan’s scrap exports reduce in Jan y-o-y

According to statistics from Japan Customs, Japan exported around 501,000 tons of scrap in January, which reduced by 23.5% compared to the same month a year ago.
Among them, the exports to Vietnam accounted for the largest proportion, totaling roughly 204,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 4.2%.
South Korea ranked second with around 156,000 tons, a year-on-year reduction of 43.5%; followed by Taiwan’s 77,000 tons, a year-on-year drop of 7.7%. Bangladesh ranked fourth with approximately 32,000 tons, down by 26.8% year on year.
