After obtaining the necessary permits and approvals from the Karnataka government, NMDC's Donimalai mine in Karnataka resumed last Thursday after it was closed for more than two years.
NMDC is the largest iron ore producer in India, accounting for 18-20% of India’s total annual iron ore requirement.
NMDC’s production of iron ore from its three mining complexes totaled over 35 million tons in Chhattisgarh and Karnataka.
