Ukraine: scrap procurement down in January-April 2020

In January-April, Ukraine procured 958.3 thousand tons of scrap, down by 10.2% YoY. Deliveries to metal companies dropped by 8.7%, to 901.1 thousand tons. Exports decreased by 59.1%, to 11.6 thousand tons, and imports – by 74.6%, to 5.7 thousand tons. This year scrap export is expected to increase by 22.2%, to 50 thousand tons, and import – by 4.8%, to 50 thousand tons.
