Russia decided to reduce the export tariffs on ferroalloys, effective on October 17. Export tariffs on bulk alloys still exist, but they have been reduced from 15% since August 1.

The tariff on ferro-manganese is reduced to 5% but not less than US$49/ton, ferro-silico-chromium is reduced to 5% but not less than US$71/ton, ferro-chrome is reduced to 5% but not less than US$57/ton, US$109/ton, or US$134 /ton, depending on the alloy type.

The decision was made in response to requests from industry representatives and was related to changes in the external market situation.
